My 2 dealings were not violent, although the antagonizing level was quite high on their part.
A less even tempered man may have given in to "temptation".

Here in the states its against the law to interrupt a legal hunt, but you still are fair game for these nitwits while in a staging area/parking lot atmosphere.

Anyone else have any incidents?

We have enough of them here to keep us entertained!!

Its been reported lately that an International Animal Rights Orginazation is encouraging its members to purchase a valid hunting license.
This would allow them to be afield with legal outdoorsmen, but the motive is to "hunt the hunters"

I dont believe that most of these people are THAT motivated towards their cause, but its worth a notation just the same!

I've never dealt with them in the field, but i've had to deal with them on other hunting websites of my own or of clients. Fortunately not on this one yet, although as it grows they're sure to show up and try to cause trouble.

Once at a BASS Masters tournament some peta members (i assume) showed up with their "fishing hurts" posters. It was funny to watch all the heat they got, I can't believe they thought they'd find sympathizers at a fishing tournament.

Heres a GREAT site that I refer all the A.R. sympathizers to:
http://www.petakillsanimals.com

Its always good to "shine the light of truth" whenever possible.

From my governor (MN), the last line is the best:

Quote:

Gov. Tim Pawlenty sank an animal rights group's request Tuesday.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals asked Pawlenty to declare walleye off-limits for fishing.

PETA said a recent study showed fish are smart and feel pain.

In a written statement, Pawlenty said, "The PETA 'Fish Empathy Project' is nutty and misses the mark."

Pawlenty said PETA displayed "goofy judgment" and that fishing was not, as PETA claimed, the same as hooking a dog or cat through the mouth with a large hook and dragging it behind your car.

"Minnesota cares for its natural resources and fishing is part of our way of life," Pawlenty said.

He concluded saying, "Because of the letter, I am going out for a walleye dinner tonight."

We have heard of a few problems here in British Columbia, of anti's attempting to get LEH tags, so they can prevent true hunters from getting a draw. If enough of them did apply, it could cause real problems. The biggest obsticle they face, is that they have to take and pass a Goverment hunting course, before they would be issued a hunting license. This may put many of them off to begin with, and who knows after taking the course, some of them may end up wanting to go hunting...! Shocked Wink

I have had problems in the past on several occasions!

I have a nice dent on the side of my Jon boat from a .45 acp when an anti thought he would do me the same way as I was shooting at geese.

Needless to say he called it quits when I unloaded my 3 1/2" Mag. steel "T" shot on him at 80 yards.

I will shoot back! Twisted Evil

In Kentucky and Tennessee I know that both states are very strick on anyone disturbing a hunter and the Wardens have no problem throwing the anti's in jail with a stiff fine. Cool

Not in the field (KS), but, I have been making a couple of them look like the un-informed idiots' that they truly are in the op-ed page of the newspaper. PETA..People Enjoying Tasty Animals. LOL!
