What ecactly are Upland Birds. |

For the benefit of us in the U.K. what all comes under the umbrella of " Upland Birds " in the U.S.A. |

I hope this works,
Upland birds are all game birds that are not considered waterfowl, this would include but not limited to phesant,grouse all kinds,quail.
woodcock, snipe and doves are sorta upland birds but are different because they are migiratory.
Most upland birds feed on the ground and walk as much as they fly.
