Goose dreams! |

It won't be long and I will be making my annual sojurn to Alberta for goose. I have been out trapshooting to get in some practise, although I know that the first few shots I will be trying to figure out the lead I need to use on steel shot. This year I will pick up some Kent Faststeel, as they seem to bring those big Canadas down without any problem. Last year I tried some Winchester 3" Hi-speed in BB, but they didn't drop the geese like I would like. Velocity is everything with steel shot..I'm still wishing we could use lead. I have some 3-1/2" Remington lead loads that would likely knock a goose into Saskatchewan, if I could use them!
The worst part of hunting them big honkers, is digging the pit blinds, in that cement they call soil in Alberta!
I'm starting to dream about geese. Counting geese now instead of sheep... |

How much does a hunt like that cost? I am from the lower 48 here. |
