Hunting pants. |

I have some very warm, waterproof, breathable, camo pants, made by Thermo King. These are top notch for hunting in the snow or the rain. The exterior is a soft fleece like fabric, which is soundless while moving through the bush.
Problem...This soft fleece like exterior material is absolutley no good for hunting in muddy pit blinds for waterfowl. They would get covered in mud in no time. Thus I keep them for both moose and deer hunts.
I purchased a set of camo rain pants from Wal-mart, that were made of some pvc plastic. Waterproof, and great for the mud, as I could just rinse them off with the hose.
Problem... They can't take the sub-zero temps, and after just 6 hunts they were shredding like an old plastic bag. Had to toss them.
Suggestions wanted! What kind, and who makes, a good pair of sturdy waterproof pants, that can take the cold, and the mud? I'm not worried about the cold, as I can wear undercloths that will keep me plenty warm. I don't mind if they are bib type coveralls. Any suggestions? I will need to pick some up quite soon...
Links to suppliers would be appreciated too!.
Thanks, Bill |
